I was curious to see and touch it. Owning the dress wasn’t necessarily the objective. We see a lot of great fashion on the runways, but as I’ve pointed out here and in several columns recently, we seemed to see less and less of these clothes in the stores. What we mostly see are pre-season collections, which stores like because the clothes arrive early in the season and have a longer selling time at full price than the runway pieces, which tend arrive later..
